A Matter Of Self-Worth

Uncommon it is not- for us to mimic others whom we think are more worthy… more credible… more dynamic. In some cases, so lacking is our self-worth that we seek them to be our beacons of light in life. Alas, the energy of Earth has changed. 2012 is a year of transformation. As the wave of self-doubt is slowly washed away by the new energetic consciousness, we begin to discover our own divinity. All that we choose to be can be found within our light body/ field of energy , also known as the ‘Mer-Ka-Ba’. It has been said, the key to unlocking the ‘fountain of knowledge’ within is to take the first step on the path called ‘self-realization’.

“About time you realized..
You are a specialty,
There is no one like you.”

“Spend your life worrying..
About what you could have been.
Why can’t you like … being you?”

-From the chorus of a song called ‘Specialty’ by pop artiste & keyboard wizard, Howard Jones.

How beautifully true, healing begins when I first come face to face with my denial, and begin the journey of self examination, thus becoming aware of the very things I have allowed to hold me back. Low self worth for me equates to shame.

My thoughts and opinions : The problem with us (humans), is that we seem to evaluate our self-worth using the outcomes of others actions and reactions to us in relationships. It is very difficult to separate us from that as if there is one conciousness then we are truly just seeking approval from ourselves in the experience. I don’t think it’s wise to beat ourselves up everytime we feel “guilty” of feeling low self-worth/esteem for any reason, because it means we follow what we have been programmed and not what we feel inside. Beating ourselves (and anyone else for that matter), is counter-productive. I don’t proclaim to have all the answers, I just believe this experience is diverse and as we grow spiritually, we learn to forgive and forget the negative in ourselves and others.
