Symphony Of Rain

When the pain inside becomes too much to bear..And when there’s too much fear in the air…Who do we turn to, in times of despair?

And when dark clouds start forming in the sky… Do we run and hide for shelter? Or could the subsequent rain be the balm for our soul…that washes all the pain and sorrow… To refresh the air that’s tainted with fear of a more dreadful tomorrow?

And in the end, the rain from the sky is like the tears running down our cheeks… An expression of release and letting go… of what doesn’t serve us anymore. A change of weather … for the better.

(Note : This blogpost was inspired by the aforementioned touching composition called “RAIN” by the group named Simply Three. In numerology, the no. 3 means compassion, creativity and catalyst. This band simply lives up to these descriptions.)

Song For Your Heart

The above video is another rendition of the 1980’s mega hit ‘Take On Me’ by the Norwegian pop group A-ha. Over the last 3 decades, many other artists have done all sorts of cover versions of it because of its mass appeal. Nevertheless, in my opinion the best re-worked version is A-ha’s own effort- an acoustic piece, featured in the aforementioned video. It’s a stark contrast from its original release (which was a catchy synth-pop song) . This unplugged version is so incredibly touching that it was even featured in the blockbuster movie Deadpool 2, to accompany an emotional scene. A proportion of the fans of Marvel superheroes who went to see the zany action packed movie, unexpectedly cried during that scene!

In these incredibly challenging times on Earth, I feel that part of the song’s lyrics (written below) have become even more relevant.

“So needless to say
I’m odds and ends
But I’ll be stumbling away
Slowly learning that life is okay…”

Despite all the turmoil, I believe humanity will get through this period of time. The last two world wars (WWI & WWII) took the lives of hundreds of millions but yet our human race has prevailed. Granted that it will take time for us to recover .. and probably what is most needed now is faith in knowing that somehow… Life is going to be okay.

[Note: When I asked Archangel Michael who Morten Harket’s (A-ha’s singer) dominant angel guide is, I was told it’s Archangel Gabriel. Somehow this didn’t surprise me as Gabriel usually helps people express themselves e.g. helps singers, composers, painters, authors, spiritual teachers. Interestingly many people in the past have described Morten’s voice as angelic!]

Stilling Ripples Of Life

“When one throws energy, it creates a ripple effect. This is very much like the concentric circles that form when you toss a pebble into a still lake. Ripples are created that move out to touch and influence others. If I were to punch you (throw negative energy at you), you might turn to the man sitting next to you and punch him. He then turns to the woman sitting next to him and insults her. She carries that energy around with her until she gets home. She then yells at her son, who then kicks the dog, who then … you get the picture.

Because I began that ripple by throwing energy at you, it is my responsibility to clean it up. Not an easy thing to do when, by the next day, tens of people (or more) have been affected by my rippling energy. We have all thrown energy at others in our lives. During this time of Shift, it is now urgently important to become aware of and change this habit in ourselves. It is possible to master every thought, every emotion, and every action. Every moment.

Your job is to be a big, solid boulder in the rippling lake. You are the boulder that keeps the ripple from continuing to touch others. The master neither passes the energy along to others, nor absorbs it into her space. The master transmutes the thrown energy and gives it back to the giver in a higher vibration of kindness, upliftment, and grace.

Be the example of what you want to experience more of.”
