Many people around the world do believe in life after death. However, not all of these people subscribe to the notion of reincarnation. At present there are already many resources out there that ‘strongly suggest’ or validate the concept of rebirth, for those who need convincing. Documented cases of past-life regressions, Near-Death Experiences, as well as personal flashbacks during dream state/meditation and even in reiki sessions all point to the understanding that our existence is a string of past lives.
One compelling case is an English lady, Jenny Cockell who had past life memories as early as age 3. Jenny recalled her life as Mary Sutton, an Irishwoman who died 21 years before Jenny was born. Because Mary left 8 young children behind when she passed, her emotional concern about the children still lingered. Using maps she drew as a child from those past life memories, Jenny Cockell traced the exact location where she lived in her past life, Malahide, Ireland. Incredibly, after much research, Jenny also located Mary’s children and personally reunited with 5 of them. She documented her experiences in her book “Across Time And Death: A Mother’s Search For Her Past Life Children.” A made-for-TV movie has been made based upon “Across Time and Death,” and it was aired under the title “Yesterday’s Children” with Jane Seymour playing Jenny.
Yet another interesting case concerns a young American boy by the name of James Leininger. The following descriptions are from the website featuring the book called Soul Survivor, a documentation of James’ past life recollections:-
“The parents of James Leininger were first puzzled and then disturbed when their two-year-old son began screaming out chilling phrases during recurrent nightmares, such as, “Plane on fire! Little man can’t get out!” The centerpiece of a loving family of three, James was a happy, playful toddler who had only just begun stringing together sentences. Determined to understand what was happening to their son, Bruce and Andrea set off on a journey of discovery that was to rock them to their core. For the more they researched the arcane comments and fragmented details little James revealed, the more they were drawn inescapably to a shocking conclusion: that James was reliving the life of James Huston, a World War II fighter pilot who was killed in the battle for Iwo Jima–over 60 years ago!
The book features stunning drawings from James illustrating his unshakable memories, and photos that bear an eerie resemblance between young James and James Huston, plus a Foreword from world-renowned past lives expert Carol Bowman. In SOUL SURVIVOR, readers will come to know and believe in the special child who harbors the soul of a man who died in 1945.”
Just last year, I met a pair of teenagers who claim to remember their past lives, although their parents deny indoctrinating their children with the concept of rebirth. Also, this year, I met a lady whose 6-year old grand child had had glimpses of his previous incarnation! What amazed me even more is when a personal friend of mine, who is a natural clairvoyant herself, recently ‘developed’ a gift of seeing people’s past lives. She humbly attributes this gift to divine allowance, as she sees past lives spontaneously and can’t force it to happen. It is indeed a joy for me (as a reiki practitioner) to partner her in my reiki sessions for others. One of the many types of reiki that I practise is Karmic Reiki and often in such a session, my gifted friend would literally see the reiki recipient’s past life surface. The ‘visions’ show how past experiences have a continous impact into a person’s present life. Such sessions are usually intense, in the sense that the reiki recipient would break out in tears spontaneously or feel other disturbing physical sensations (e.g. extreme heat or pain). When the reiki recipient agrees with our suggestion to acknowledge the past and make peace with it (e.g. by apologizing to those whom one previously harmed or forgiving the past perpetrator including own self), the recipient then usually heaves a sigh of relief and slowly returns to normal consciousness.
Although knowledge of reincarnation is not necessary for us to live a happy, healthy and contented life, for some people, the need to know is there especially when their present life isn’t rosy and they feel totally lost. Often , that is when soul-searching begins…and when we remember that we have lived before and that there are higher reasons for our existence, a quiet sense of comfort returns. As they say – when we change the way we see life, our lives will start to change…literally! With Earth’s energy changing including the shifting of its magnetic grid, more and more people will start to have epiphanies. Also, a higher percentage of the new children being born will remember their past lives (as revealed by metaphysical experts years ago) because the sub-conscious memories stored within their DNAs will begin to seep through their conscious self. Indeed, Life is far grander than we can presently imagine. And so it is…..
