Share The Light

People will come, people will go.

From what I know..

Moments are not for us to hold.

Some feelings linger, others may flow.

As I grow old, I can now feel the cold.

For all I know, there might not be a tomorrow.

But I remember being told, by an angel years ago…

That in life, just as in death…

We need to let go … of all the things that brought us sorrow.

And also…

That if we love someone, we should let them know,

For the light we give them … will ever GLOW.

(Note : The above writing was inspired by the touching song entitled “Everglow” by the band Coldplay.)

Interpreting Life

Disciple: Master, in your opinion, what do you think the masses need the most?

Master : Hmm… the general population? That’s too wide for my discernment. Perhaps, I could offer my answer based upon the people I have met, instead?

Disciple : Yes, please.

Master : Self-awareness!

Disciple: Why would that be, if you don’t mind elaborating?

Master : Many people are habitual complainers… They never seem to have shortage of things to lament about. They label their country’s economy, governments, hygiene practices, politics , social behaviour and even the weather as bad, horrible, tragic, etc..

Disciple: But.. if you look at the world news, these are real life problems.

Master : Dear one, if you truly meditate upon every event, you will understand it actually has no meaning until you assign it one.

Disciple: I don’t get it… If a politician is using bribery to solicit votes, shouldn’t that be considered a bad practice?

Master : You could do so, if it pleases you. Personally, I would watch my language.

Disciple: Hmmm… so how would you describe it then?

Master : Well, like many of the other examples I have given, I would describe them as “evolutionary catalysts”. Matters that can spark a response that might lead to a better outcome. For example, when enough humans awaken, voice their displeasure and actually take concrete action to end corruption, a fresh new approach to politics emerges…one that speaks of integrity.

Disciple : Oh I see…

Master : Do you? Many people have a fixed idea or definition of the outer world. As such, they hardly ever see the silver lining behind events- those which they have already pre-judged as negative. Now, do you comprehend why so many people are dissatisfied with life? My point is – they are not even aware of the box they have put themselves in… they have confined everything as either good or bad…positive or negative, without a splinter of hope.

Disciple : So, how does one avoid this path?

Master : Well… one could start by seeing events as neutral… walk through it daily as part of the fantastic human experience of diversity. Are you aware that there are intuitive souls who describe Earth as the Great Experiment?

Disciple : I tend to think of life on this planet as a great test, instead.

Master : Excellent! But would it not have the same connotation ? Truly, humans can use whatever definition they choose…as long as it serves them. I am only concerned about those who by their own definition of life, have created unnecessary misery for themselves day after day, without being aware how their thoughts affected their temperament.

Disciple : So, you are suggesting that we be mindful in our daily action, yes?

Master : Precisely… and by my own definition, Life Is Good … Life Is Exciting … Life Is Enriching… and I am the steward of my Life… always.

Daily Happiness

“What can you do to make yourself feel good today? Stop being everybody’s doormat.”

The above is a recent advice from a soul named Erik, residing on the Other Side, as obtained by Denise (a medium). I personally find the advice very appropriate as in my healing practice, many of my clients seem depleted of their energy, because they have allowed others to trample all over them, figuratively. Although we may have jobs and obligations to fulfil, it doesn’t mean we should be subservient to others to the extent that we end up being treated like a second class citizen.

I often advise my clients to treat themselves better and to see that they are EQUAL to others, regardless of people’s rank or profile. In the end, life becomes meaningless when we can’t find joy in our daily lives. Someone once said… “Happiness is our birthright” and I believe we constantly need to remind ourselves that.

Music Heals

“Being human is hard and we need every tool and resource we can get to ease our fears and concerns; music is a very powerful medicine that can help us do that. So in the music that I make, I put into it the ingredients and the thoughts and wisdom and knowledge that I have acquired or heard in my life. I put it together in the song so that when I sing it, I can always drink that medicine of love, forgiveness, hope, patience and peace….

Because everybody needs a hug and I want my music to be a hug. The world is so competitive and the news can show us so many bad things. I want to use media as a positive tool.”

– singer/songwriter Jason Mraz

The School Of Hard Knocks

In the end, what we resent, reject, hate, despise gets stuck somewhere in our body and slowly becomes a dis-ease. The power of allowance should therefore not be underestimated…. It is imperative that we allow scenarios play out for our learning experience. As we navigate the flow and ebb of life, our understanding expands to what works and what doesn’t. Life is experiential not theoretical. And that’s why aspects of Source i.e. our souls chose the material world to live and die, physically.

Earth is a schoolyard . Between incarnations is the recess. Graduation signifies our soul growth.

And so it is.

What Is Reality?

“There is no reality except the one contained within us. That is why so many people live such an unreal life. They take the images outside of them as reality and never allow the world within to assert itself.”

– Herman Karl Hesse (poet/novelist)
