True Freedom

“Freedom means you are unobstructed in living your life as you choose.
Anything less is a form of slavery.”

– Wayne Dyer, motivational speaker & author.

Look Who’s Talking!

Wise Owl: So, how are you feeling today, Bunny?
Bunny: Oh, I’m so hopping mad!
Sarcastic Snake: Sssheesh! I just can’t stand a bad pun. Hop! Hop! Hop!
Wise Owl: Oh look, Moose is joining us too.
Sarcastic Snake: What? That dumbo too?
Wise Owl: Looks like he has got the new iPad!
Pooh Bear: That is sweet!
Sarcastic Snake: Man, can’t you think of another adjective instead of ssssweet? Must be all that honey you are consuming! Won’t be surprised if you end up being a diabetic, dude!
Elderly Moose: Hi everyone! Guess what? I got myself a high tech pillow- the new iPad!
Wise Owl: Moose, that’s not a pillow. It’s a computer in a tablet form.
Elderly Moose: Oh, dear. No wonder it’s so hard to sleep on. You know, my eyesight and hearing aren’t so good these days. When the salesperson told me the new iPad has a clearer vision and something called ‘retina display’, I thought he was selling me a pillow which could somehow improve my sight.
Sarcastic Snake: Sssssseriously?
Wise Owl: Hey, looks like Sacred Cow could make it to our meeting after all.
Sarcastic Snake: Bummer! Every word that comes out from his mouth always ssssounds like a ssssermon!
Wise Owl: That’s the final straw! Snake, you aren’t perfect yourself, y’know? All of us have to put up with your idiosyncrasy too!
Sarcastic Snake: Whatcha mean?
Wise Owl: I mean … your annoying expressssssion!
Others: Ha!Ha!Ha!
Sarcastic Snake: That’s it! This is bad company. I’m ssssslithering out of here!
Everyone else: Bye, Snake. Sssssssee you sssssoon!

The Lakeside Meditation

I stopped by the lake to meditate.
Nature then delivered a bizarre breeze.
The cool wind seemed to whisper to me-
“Dear one, be slow to react in anger,
But hesitate not to forgive.”

Taken aback, I was.
Nature spoke?
Then the second gust continued-
“For in the end,
Only love is real.”

Mentally, I enquired-
“I have heard that often enough, but what does that really mean?”

Words softly formed in my ears again-
“Life is an expression and Love is the fuel.”
“Anger is rejection of the fuel, and life’s expression is cut short.”
“Conversely, forgiveness is acceptance… and it sustains life.”

“But how can I forgive a world which seems to be filled with hate and prejudice?” – I pondered.
The flow of answers stopped. Trying to locate them,
I walked nearer to the lake till I could see my own reflection on the water.
Suddenly I heard-
“Do you like what you see?”
I saw my frowned look , which I disliked.
The indescribable voice explained-
“The world is a mirror of your being, much like the reflection on the lake. Change your expression and its image will change. The anger you are holding on to, is limiting your expression.”

The last words then followed-
“So, dear one … forgive others but more importantly, forgive yourself. Paint another picture and live the highest truth, for it will set you free to be the grandest expression of love.”

I added, “For only love is real?”
The final gust of wind rubbed against me and seemed to acknowledge by whispering-
“And so it is.”

A Miracle

“People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on Earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don’t even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black, curious eyes of a child – our own two eyes. All is a miracle.”

― Thich Nhat Hanh

Learning From The Heart

“I have always had this view about the modern education system: –
We pay attention to brain development, but the development of warmheartedness we take for granted.”

– Dalai Lama

… and this message has be re-emphasized by people who channel messages from the Other Side i.e. it is imperative for us to think and act from the heart. Our heart center is considered the seat of our soul. It is also the 4th (in the middle) of our seven chakras (energy vortices), separating the 3 lower and 3 higher ones. Through this sacred heart, all beings are connected and any perceived separation is merely an illusion of the ego self.

And so, our logical ego builds walls … but our heart builds bridges.

Flower Of Life

Neighbor A: Hello, Good Morning!
Neighbor B : Why, Good Morning! How are you feeling today?
Neighbor A : Well, to be honest, I don’t feel too well.
Neighbor B : Oh dear, I’m sorry to hear that. What’s wrong?
Neighbor A : Er.. to cut a long story short, I was wrongly accused by someone yesterday evening- a friend to be exact. As such, I had a terrible time sleeping last night.
Neighbor B : Aah… Now I understand.
Neighbor A : Well, let me not bog you down with my personal problem. Say, were you talking to your flowers in the garden, just now? I kinda saw your lips moving.
Neighbor B : Ha..ha.., yes I was! How observant of you!
Neighbor A : What were you saying to them, exactly?
Neighbor B : Well, I was verbally expressing my gratitude to them. You know, flowers are actually great teachers.
Neighbor A : Sorry, … I don’t quite follow.
Neighbor B : Well, kind people as well as notorious ones can see and appreciate the beauty of flowers, right?
Neighbor A : Hmm… I guess as long as people do not have impaired vision, they can see them. So, yeah I agree.
Neighbor B : That’s right. So, flowers bloom in all its glory for all to view. They do not discriminate nor judge. With ample light, flowers grow to display its beauty in our world. And though its lifespan is short, it fulfills its purpose, without asking for anything in return. Can you name a person who behaves in a similar fashion?
Neighbor A : No, I guess not. Even my friend was quick to judge me, yesterday.
Neighbor B : Ah, yes. So, you see … if we human beings allow light into our hearts, our expression will be one of grace- a beautiful demeanor, without the need to critique. And just by being graceful, we touch others, one heart at a time.
Neighbor A : Wow! That’s so profound. I never saw flowers in that manner.
Neighbor B : Ha.. Ha.. but now you do … and that’s all that matters, right? Have a lovely, day!

Disasters – Opportunities For Healing

“Love is infinite. Your love is quite capable of expanding out to every living being on Earth. You would still be capable of giving more love. This is not a selfish love, no. It is indeed an unconditional love. You feel sadness toward the victims of a flood, or an earthquake. You feel compassion for them. You do not know them. Have never met those people, yet you are capable of experiencing the emotion of compassion and concern – unconditional love.

I tell you in areas of the planet where an ecological disaster is experienced, there is in the atmosphere great love energy. This is formed by other souls on the planet sending out in thought form, unconditional love. This provides the initial healing for the planet and the souls involved. I speak of all living beings, not only the human element, but the aquatic life, the plant life, the elemental and mineral kingdoms. The healing energy accumulated is great. Many of you experience and join in this healing process without even thinking of the effect you are creating. It is wonderful.

As you progress you will feel and express unconditional love for others even more. Further, there may be nothing that you can physically do or verbalize to others. That is not always required. It is your intent that is important. And that intent is born of your thoughts and compassionate energy. These create the great loving intent and deeper love energy which will assist in manifesting a new Earth, a soul way of living.”

Friendship & Life

“So long as the memory of certain beloved friends lives in my heart,
I shall say that life is good.”

– Helen Keller

… and I believe,
our memory of true friendship is priceless.
